Want information, want to help develop some Klax apps? trying to sue me or serve a cease order?
Klax features a conveyor belt at the top of the screen. It constantly rolls toward the playing area, delivering a steady supply of blocks.
In the playing area, blocks can be eliminated by getting three or more "Klaxes" (groups) of the same color in a line. The line may be horizontal, vertical, or diagonal.
Inspired by Tic-Tac-Toe, & Tetris, Akers programmed Klax in just a few weeks using Amiga Basic, then ported it line-by-line to C. In a 1990 interview, he said he wanted to "produce something playable, compact and relatively quick to develop." The name was chosen for the sound the tiles make as they come down the conveyor belt.
Yes, you read it right. We have downloads available for Klax. Over the following 20 years from it's birth, Klax has seen many ports to various platforms, including Windows & Mac versions. As new downloads become available, I'll keep this section up-to-date.
